Criminals are The Real Terrorists / It's Time to Take Back our Streets

What is going in our society today?  I am sick and tired of the senseless murders that continue to take place in Alabama. I pray that I am not alone in my anger; I trust that there are others that are just as fed up with this madness as I am. It is getting to the point where you can’t turn on your television without being plagued with the horrible news of someone being gunned down. The most recent account of this happened a few days ago in the city of Decatur, Alabama (see video link below).
When did the deviants in our civilization become heroes? Yes, believe it or not, there are some idiots out there that actually think taking someone’s life, is cool. This blatant disregard for human life has quickly become a social norm for these people and it is time that we do everything in our power to stop this epidemic from spreading. It is time for us to transform our communities from “individual” societies to “collective” ones.  In a collective society we will once again become our neighbor’s keepers, which will allow us to do what our law enforcement officers and our political leaders have failed to do, which is to protect us.
It is also time for us to examine our social infrastructures and rebuild those that need repairing while discontinuing the ones that have proven to be ineffective. Our whole way of thinking has to be adjusted because in order for us invoke change on a macro level we must first facilitate it on a micro one.  We are in a state of emergency and if we refuse to step up to this challenge we will leave little hope for our children.
Let us all band together and fight these local terrorists by stopping the glorification of criminals in our neighborhoods. If someone goes to prison for murder they should be held accountable for that crime. There should not be any light sentences for first degree murders, no matter who they murder. This town needs a social enema. We need to petition our elected officers, to prosecute these people to the letter of the law.  Let us up lift those individuals that are working and supporting their families and/or trying to educate themselves, while we condemn those individuals that are breaking the laws and having children that they cannot afford to take care of.

Gaddafi and Bin Laden Drop It Like Its Hot? Porn in the Middle East

What is it about the bad guys in the world today? I find it amazing that when their properties are searched porn always appears. I also find it strange that these reports of porn, seem to always make it to the news, is it a coincidence or is it America’s way a demonstrating to us that “If you look at porn, you are engaging in deviant behavior and therefore you are a deviant and will be punished.” Is it really important to report that these articles were found?
The Washing Post reported that in Col. Moammar Gaddafi’s compound the following items were found.
1. A photo album of Condoleeza Rice, whom Gaddafi called his “darling Leezza,” found in the compound.
2. A two seater golden mermaid counch with the face of Aisha Gaddafi, found in the compound.
3. A DVD with gay porn, entitled “Boyz Tracks,” found in Al-Saadi’s home. Compare that with a DVD about getting back into shape after childbirth, found in Aisha’s home.
4. Gaddafi’s trademark hat and chain, found in the compound, which a rebel took as a gift for his father

When the troops raided Osama Bin Laden’s compound they found the same type of items.

Can you see the link? Is this an indictment against the adult industry?

Rick Perry; Who Is This Guy?

The governor of Texas, Rick Perry, has entered the republican race for president of the United States, he is gaining momentum and it looks as if the Tea Party and some members of the right wing of the Republican Party have gotten the political shot in the arm they have been waiting for. Who is this guy and where did he come from? Is he really bringing something new to the field?  It is important for us to know who is running for president and what positions do they hold on certain issues. To better understand Governor Perry it is important to comprehend his origin, after all this is someone that desires to lead our country. I believe that the days of blindly voting for parties without knowing exactly what each candidate is standing for is over.
Governor Perry started out as the Lieutenant  Governor of Texas in 1998 under George W. Bush and after Mr. Bush became president Mr. Perry assumed the role of governor.  Rick Perry has been part of the Bush camp from the very beginning. Karl Rove, Bush’s long time political advisor and political genius, explains some things about Mr. Perry. (Watch video)

It is also important to note that when people who have known a person for a long time warn  us about them, it is important for us to listen. We must keep close watch on the things that all of our politicans say, including Obama.
As a side note, I am currently looking at the republican hopeful Governor Buddy Roemer; he may be the REAL deal... (Watch Video)

We got to get off our butts and vote!!!!

What’s going on with the Huntsville Police Department? CSI they are not

I have a bad habit of watching television crime shows and it is an addiction that I find extremely hard to quit. The ones that I find the most interesting are programs such as Discover ID and 48 Hours because they portray actual crimes. These shows always start with a good story line which climaxes when someone gets killed. It is at this point that the crime scene detectives are brought onto the case. This is my favorite part because it shows how the criminal is never smarter than the law enforcement agents. The show finally ends with the offender going to prison for life or to death row.
Its shows like this, which make you, respect the police while creating an environment that makes it easier to lay your head on your pillow at night knowing that, there’s someone out there to catch the “bad guys.” However, this is not the case, at least not in Huntsville, Alabama, because the police force is neither on the case nor are they solving any mysteries.  This, judging from the cold case files we have seen unsolved, is not “JOB 1” for our enforcement agency. Their time is spent busting meth addicts and arresting folks who are selling illegal drugs, so if you live in a crack or meth house you are safe. Well, at least you will see the police more often. I do not want to seem unreasonable or disrespectful to the police department however it appears that DUI’s, loud music and drugs are at the top of their “To Do” list.
It is either the police do not know how to do their jobs or they don’t care. Let me pause and render a couple examples to illustrate my point.  A Woman was shot in a drive-by shooting  then, (read the story at: http://www.waff.com/story/12619965/woman-killed-in-drive-by-shooting?redirected=true ), in June of 2010, a man was shot in broad daylight at a busy traffic intersection with witnesses (http://blog.al.com/breaking/2011/05/one_person_critical_following_1.html ), and  finally another man was shot and killed in a drive by shooting ( http://blog.al.com/breaking/2011/05/drive-by_shooting_victim_in_no.html ,) in Huntsville and the police have no suspects. They continue to have NO suspects. In the case of the “busy intersection” shooting there were witnesses that described the car however no one has been arrested.  These are just a few of the cases that are still open in Huntsville.
How do I know that these cases haven’t been solved? Well its simple, the local news channels take pride in reporting the shootings that are occurring however there is never a follow up story. There is never a story showing that the “bad guys” have actually been caught, not a single word. If there was an arrest made, because there is very little news to actually report in Huntsville, we would have heard it reported. The reason that there aren’t any follow up stories is because no one is getting caught. The only people who do get caught in Huntsville for murder are those that turn themselves in or that have at least one descent or morally driven friend to call the police and report their sorry butts. There is absolutely no detective work, or rather, no successful detective work going on in this city. What are the police good for if they can’t stop these senseless deaths from occurring?  It is a fact that most of these drive-bys occur in the same areas of town, so wouldn’t it be wise to put more patrols up in those areas? Do we even have any undercover cops in this town?
I understand and it would be socially irresponsible, for me to suggest that this police department should look the other way when it comes to drug dealers and their clients. I do realize that drug abusing and dealing can lead to other more serious crimes. I’m just saying that murder and drive bys are those more serious crimes and law enforcement should have solving these crimes as their priorities. I don’t care if John Q Public is selling crack to crack heads or playing his/her music too loud, that doesn’t affect me, but I do care that someone is free in our community that has such a disregard for life that they would pick up a gun and shoot it where innocent people live and socialize.

“Corporations are people too.” Mitt Romney’s Words Cut Deep

In a speech today presidential- hopeful Mitt Romney made the statement “Corporations are people too.” This was his attempt to defend the tax breaks that the Republican Party has supported for years. He was trying to explain that corporations are made of people and when they are prosperous it is good for the country. Simply, we all benefit, when corporations do well. I will not waste your time quoting the bonuses CEOs earn each year and the fact that many corporations may do well and still layoff employees. I will tell you that Mr. Romney’s views are not odd, when it comes to how our politicians think. I am referring to both parties because they both have done their part in hurting this economy.
The problem in this election cycle is the Tea Party. This is a movement that has been more than just a headache for the Republican Party. It has caused them to rethink their stance on age old views they once subscribed to.  The person in the crowd that asked Mr. Romney this question was no doubt a supporter of this party’s views. Mitt’s statement also revealed, in words, what all Americans should already have known and that is, the politicians that we have elected to office are completely out of touch with the issues of the people that they are elected to represent.
My current employer encouraged us to write letters to our local congressman (Jeff Sessions Al-R) and tell him that we were not in support of him cutting Medicare benefits. These are benefits that working people have paid into and if we are not able to take care of those that cannot take care of themselves. How great of nation are we?  These politicians are the same ones that run for office on a moral platform while forgetting that the bible states “the poor will always be with you.” I will thank Mr. Sessions because he was nice enough to send me and several of my friends a letters back. In these letters, he said that he would basically vote on what he thought was best for his community and while he appreciated our concerns, he would not take them into consideration when he votes. WOW!!
Here is an elected official that is cocky enough to tell his constituents, that he basically did not give a damn what we thought, he was voting his own views. How long will we, as Americans, put up with this type of treason? Yes, I call it treason. The word treason is defined as “a crime that covers some of the more serious acts of betrayal of one's sovereign or nation.” This is exactly what Mr. Sessions is doing. He is betraying his community’s welfare for his own personal accomplishments. It is truly a sad day in this country when we, as citizens, allow the few to dictate the futures of the masses.
What do you think? (Comment)

Is the government entering a "Double Dip Recession?" (The Bad News About the AAA Downgrade by the S&P)

The U.S economy has only grown 1%.. Wow.. We are in trouble! Has the recent downgrade by the S&P made "cash" money king again? This is the first time in history this has happened. Canada and places in Europe have a higher credit rating that we do now.  Does this mean that you should take your money out of the bank and liquidate your solid assets to protect your holdings? For those of you investing in your company's 401K, it may very well be a good time to rethink your financial future.
This is a crisis that we have created for ourselves. Our foreign polices and national arrogance has facilitated an elitist environment that may end up causing us to lose the freedoms we now enjoy. We have and continue to spend, billions of dollars on fighting foreign wars with the hopes of protecting ourselves from terrorist attacks, but in the mist of doing this we have failed to answer the most important question of them all.. Can we afford it? We continue to let our politicians dictate to us what issues are important and which ones we should be focusing all our attention on. This has resulted in the majority of the American public,  following these leaders blinding without resistance.
China stated that "America should live within it means." Is this the crack in the wall that brings down America? It is important to note that, Osama's goal was not just too physically attack us but to cripple our economy. This is why the terrorists bombed the two towers. The trade centers were symbols of our financial strength. Our politicians are turning on each other and they have made themselves less creditable in the eyes of their constituents. Is this how democracy works?
What do you think, well America recover or will be this be the forecast for more horrible things to come? Are we on a road to becoming a Second-World nation?
